Handstands, Sunshine, and a Memorable Shoot with HannaOnHands.com

At Patrick Michael Boudoir, we’re used to getting creative with our shoots, but every once in a while, a project comes along that’s outside the usual and just plain fun. That’s exactly what happened when Hanna Schmitt reached out to us during her visit to Florida from London.

Hanna runs a thriving handstand training business called HannaOnHands.com. While visiting Florida to scout potential locations for live handstand workshops and retreats, she took a well-earned break from the grey skies of the UK to enjoy some sunshine. It was also the perfect opportunity to update her website and social media with dynamic new images —and that's where we came in.

Hanna found us through Google and gave us a shout. “I know it wasn’t the normal boudoir request,” she said, “but I felt Patrick had the artistic eye for what I was looking for, so I reached out to him.”

Mead Botanical Gardens provides the perfect backdrop for beautiful fall colors.

Making it happen

With Hanna’s packed schedule, we worked quickly to figure out a plan that fit her vision. After chatting about her goals, we decided on Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park—a location with lots of vibrant backdrops that could highlight her strength and creativity.

On shoot day, the weather wasn’t exactly Florida postcard-perfect—overcast skies and all—but honestly, that soft light was a win. It gave everything a warm, earthy vibe that worked beautifully. Hanna was a total pro, bringing her energy and confidence to every shot. The result? A creative mix of photos she could use for her business, marketing, and more.

Hanna's athleticism and dedication to her craft are 100% on point.

what hanna had to say

“I do a lot of photo shoots, and this one was right up there,” she told us. “Patrick has an ease about him and a clear understanding of where to go and the angles to take, etc. Honestly, the skies were a bit overcast that day, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect... but I just love the colors and everything we were able to create that day. When I return to Florida, I’ll be working with him again—I highly recommend him!”

It was great hearing how much she loved the experience. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about—shoots that are not only fun but also help our clients walk away with images they can’t wait to show off.

Doesn't get any straighter!

More Than Boudoir

We know “boudoir” is in our name, and yes, that’s our bread and butter. But we do so much more than that. Beach sessions? Check. Personal branding shoots? Absolutely. Environmental portraits? You bet. Every shoot is different, and that’s how we love it.

Our goal? To work with you, whoever you are, and create photos that make you feel like a million bucks, whether that’s on a beach at sunrise or building a portfolio for your business.

If you've ever wanted to learn a handstand or refine technique, we can't think of a better person to learn it from than Hanna! She offers classes for beginners to advanced practitioners and the first online class is always free. Check her out at HannaOnHands.com or Instagram
